Holiday Message to Our Chatters
Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings to all of our wonderful chatters! The NamibiaCam Family is incredibly diverse, yet united in our appreciation of the amazing animals we see at all three cams.
NamCamFam is growing, too – 437k subscribers and counting! To put that into perspective, it was exactly 3 years ago today that the channel notched its 100-thousandth subscriber. It only took 4 months to hit the 200k milestone.
I mentioned the diversity of our chatters, who hail from 127 different countries and speak a huge variety of languages (but only English in chat, lol). You come from all walks of life, range in age from kids to nonagenarians, and express a wide spectrum of beliefs, religions and political affiliations – which you kindly leave at the door when you come to chat.
It might seem strange to newcomers but it works! Our chats are kid-safe, stress-free and offer kindness and camaraderie to one and all, thanks in no small part to your cooperation and contributions.
Speaking of which, I think we're unique in that all of our Blue Crew moderators were once chatters (and often still are – we change to our grey suits because we still love chatting!), and many of our chatters could easily be mods. The knowledge of our community is mind-boggling and your eagerness to share your observations and discoveries are more than welcome; you enrich our community every single day.
So thank you, wonderful chatters, for doing your part in making NamCamFam what it is: a very special place that for so many of us is a second Home.
