Here is Nemo, a quiet but very friendly Russian Blue who lives two doors down from where Jean Grey (the Brazilian Shorthair) used to live, and a stone's throw from The White Cat's former abode.

This is the "Caramel Cow Cat", a very sweet cat who can barely meow (his owner told me he froze his vocal cords during a very cold night some years ago) but he always says “hi” to me.

Pishi, our neighborhood calico cat, just loves to be outside but her penchant for the great outdoors doesn't extend to the neighboring species she finds there.

Maxi, the striped tabby cat from two doors over, was the feline version of a steel fist in a velvet glove. Neither especially speedy nor noticeably vocal, Maxi was strong when he had to be and to every cat around he was the unquestioned master of his domain.

Jean Grey, a beautiful Brazilian Shorthair, lived just across the path from The White Cat's house. She was the most loving cat I have ever known.

“There goes the toughest, most independent cat in the neighborhood,” said a dog-walking neighbor as "Pikachu" regally stalked across his yard. He was absolutely right – the small white cat with a short dark “haircut” was the unchallenged Top Cat in the 'hood.
