Bokdrol Spoeg Home Game Kit

The Bokdrol Spoeg home game kit makes an ideal gift for anyone bored with board games and sick of crappy video games!

This is a “Bokdrol Spoeg” home game kit from Namibia, complete with 1st Place prize ribbon (you’ll always win because no one will compete with you) and a big box full of “DUNG”, aka playing pieces. I sh*t you not… and neither do they!

I received this elaborate game kit through the generosity of fellow NamCam mod “Valerie”; one of many items from Namibia and Maine (her home state) that came carefully packed and thoughtfully chosen just for me – I’m still getting over how mind-bogglingly lovely that was of her.

As previously mentioned, the kit is comprised of just three components (we won’t include the starry zippered plastic bag the whole kit & kaboodle comes in, though it’s also kinda cool), befitting its humble origins as makeshift entertainment on dull desert nights.

Ya got yer Instruction sheet, marked with the unique NamibiaCam logo. The fancy-schmancy Blue Ribbon for “winners”. Last but not least, a small but surprisingly heavy box of “DUNG”, which exuded no obvious aroma: oh yeah, I gave it the ol’ sniff test!

I have to say I’m impressed with the manufacturer’s dedication in sourcing sustainable and natural dried Kudo poop (Oryx poop would have also been acceptable), and for the sake of accuracy I cracked open the box and shook out a few nuggets…

Heyyyy, wait a minute!! This don’t look like poop, and take it from me, I’ve seen my share of poop!

It didn’t smell like poop, even from up close. It didn’t taste like poop either, and… hmm, that didn’t come out right but suffice to say, I took one for the team and put the bite on a bit…

Not too bad, actually! Reminds me of chocolate-covered caramels and… ok, they ARE chocolate-covered caramels. Sort of defeats the purpose of the game, though, as these playing pieces are the kind you DON’T want to spit out.

As for Valerie, she may be known for her kindness but rest assured, she’ll give you sh*t if you deserve it and she don’t take sh*t from nobody!
