TEAL This Car!

Was Teal - a very unnatural-looking shade of bright blue-green or aquamarine - the poster kid color for the Nineties? For cars of that decade, fo sho it was! Even worse, that harsh, inorganic, metallic hue somehow lent itself to “complementary” hot pink graphics and pinstriping… you had to live through it to believe it!

This nostalgic trip back to the post-Cold War and pre-9/11 decade recalls - and not always fondly - the eye-blisteringly aqua autos we loved then but (much like many of us) haven’t aged all that well…
