Caramel Cow Cat Comes Calling

This is the "Caramel Cow Cat". He has a name; his owner told it to me once but I've forgotten it (as with people, I remember faces much better than names).

So I call him Caramel Cow Cat as his coat pattern is cow-like with rusty orange and white.

He's a very friendly cat, or I should say he's very friendly to me as I've never seen him interacting with anyone but his owners.

He always comes to greet me, tail held up high, and he'll give me a glance and a single strained "meow" when he gets to me.

His owner told me that he spent a couple of nights outdoors in bitterly-cold winter weather a few years ago, and the cold froze his vocal cords so he's been mostly silent since then. I feel privileged that he makes the effort to squeeze out a single meow for me, and I reward him with a vigorous neck rub.
