Callie For Ya, Here I Come!

This is "Callie", dubbed "Little Brown Cat" before I learned her name.

Callie is an unusually small tabby cat who lives very close to the Caramel Cow Cat. The two may be neighbors but they don't seem to get along well; which is maybe just as well since Callie is very small and she should stay close to home (we have red-tailed hawks patrolling above).

Callie likes me, though, and she'll come to greet me when I'm walking by. She doesn't like being petted much but shows her affection by rolling around while emitting quiet meows. If a stranger or a dog-walker gets close, she'll run to me and take shelter behind my legs. It's nice to be trusted.

I've talked to her owners (lovely people!) about Callie; seems she was born small and stayed small. She often follows her owners around when they go for evening walks.

Hopefully Callie will continue to be cautious when she goes outside, as lately we have coyotes in the area so there's even more to worry about.
